I cant really do UK only either as i get quite a few sales from abroad, not too many breakages though, seeing as they are quite fragile items, as always a few dodgy customers saying they didnt arrive.

And my customers always say that the broken bit isnt in the box, or It was broken before it was posted. I even had someone last week say id glued it back together! :o

Vee has been getting my grief lately as well as her own, my customer was sending her emails last week asking where the rest of her order was, she wouldnt believe vee that it wasnt her she ordered from!

OMG!!! you are welcome to them then!!

I just use my royal mail and city link mods that are built into my cart.

the cart works the cost for international shipping for me, so i dont mind international distributing at all. if above specific weights, it just automatically puts them onto a courier service. the customers see, to be ok with the cart working it out for them.

shipping to the US isnt the cheapest, but they are paying the cost that the RM and courier mods are projecting so i wont complain.

I also only send out recorded services, so i just make it royal mail or the couriers problem if anything goes missing or breaks on transit.

dont seem to have a problem with that. Customers are happy they can track their parcels and if anything goes wrong they are insured for my benefit so all is good.

courier is ok, as long as its uk mainland, can get costly international though, with my other business i got a bill for £65 once for a 5lb tub of protein being shipped to greece...that was amusing, i wasnt in such a hurray to repeat that, as i footed the bill for it as it was before i got the shipping mods integrated.

shipping jewellrry to america is costing me on average £6 on postage for international recorded delivery which people seem quite happy to pay as im getting a quite a few.

expecting january to be quiet but we will see, got orders on christmas day from uk, france, sweden and america.

bizzare.

congratz on the new job, i sometimes miss the workplace, working in my home office eating mince pies is nice, but i miss the action sometimes of the workplace. But i do prefer my own working on my own projects....... Got new I.T business launching in january then im going to finish my education system that has been my pet project for 2 years now.

i think im trying to be the simon cowel of the education world with my plans that im going to lay out soon. got the head of research at oxford university interested in it, so should be good.

anyhow i not gonna give u my life story haha, but to say hope you all have a great new year. no alcohol poisoning please.

see you all in 2010.

Too late - groan!!! - My ultimate goal is to work from home but until things pick up I'm gonna have to work :( but as I'm a sales rep I'm normally on my own anyway - just miles away from home - aahh I can dream
